Citizenship by Descent (Jus Sanguinis)

Claim a second passport through your ancestry — European or Latin American

🇵🇾Paraguay Jus Sanguinis

Paraguay is primarily jus soli (citizenship by birth on soil). Children born abroad to at least one Paraguayan parent qualify automatically. Second/third generation descendants may register through the consulate or Civil Registry with proof of lineage. Dual citizenship is permitted.

Many of our clients combine a Paraguay residency with a citizenship claim through their ancestry. European countries like Italy, Ireland, Romania, Poland, Hungary, and Croatia offer citizenship by descent — some with no generational limit. Latin American countries including Uruguay, Panama, and Paraguay also recognize jus sanguinis. An EU passport unlocks visa-free travel to 170+ countries; a LATAM passport provides regional mobility and dual citizenship options.
